Air fryer tips for ‘even easier’ cooking with ‘endless possibilities’

Air fryers are both versatile and easy to use in a hurry, in fact, there are very few disadvantages to using this handy appliance over an oven.

One pitfall, however, is their size. Most are large enough to take up a noticeable amount of space on the kitchen counter, but some lack space inside.

For some, this makes it near impossible to cook a full meal in one go as one would using traditional methods.

However, an air fryer expert at Power XL Vortex claimed that there are several easy remedies that can solve this problem. The first of which is experimenting with ingredients that people may not know they can air fry.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, they said: “There are so many things that can be cooked in an air fryer with bacon, chips and chicken wings being the most popular options. However, you can also cook things such as fish, pies and doughnuts.

“The Power XL Vortex Air Fryer features 10 quick-touch pre-set buttons to air-fry extra crispy chicken fingers, rotisserie pork roast, or authentic kebabs.

“Even use the dehydrator to make healthy dehydrated vegetables, dried herbs, fruit, and more. The possibilities with an air fryer are endless which is why they make such a great investment.”

When it comes to cooking different ingredients at once, they noted that the easiest method is to “batch cook” items with similar cooking times.

The Power XL air fryer professional said: “Different foods can be cooked at the same time if there is space.

“To keep things simple, try to pair items together that have similar cooking times – for example french fries and potato wedges.”

Some models, such as the Power XL Vortex Air Fryer also include stainless-steel air flow racks which, according to the expert, “makes it even easier to cook multiple things at once”.

They added: “These racks allow for hot air to circulate around all sides of the food, ensuring that it cooks evenly.”

Tin foil is another helpful tool that can maximise the efficiency of an air fryer and there are several ways to use it.

The expert said: “Laying down aluminium foil in the air fryer before putting your food in is a fantastic tip for those that want to reduce cleaning time, as you can simply throw the foil away after use.”

Another method is to use scrunched-up foil sticks as a barrier to keep foods separate in the air fryer basket, which is especially useful for cooking ingredients that are marinated at the same time as those that aren’t.
