Madonna, 64, already 'rehearsing for tour again' after health scare

Madonna is said to be ‘chomping at the bit’ and back to rehearsals for her Celebration Tour after an alarming recent health scare.

The Like A Prayer Singer, 64, worried fans when her manager Guy Oseary announced she had suffered a serious bacterial infection which left her in ICU for several days.

She was found unresponsive and rushed to hospital for treatment, leaving her family fearing ‘the worst’. Thankfully, the Vogue hitmaker is now recovering from the terrifying ordeal.

This came just before Madonna’s much-animated Celebration Tour – reminiscing her 40-year career – was due to kick off in Canada on July 15.

North America dates are being rescheduled, with the Europe leg of the world tour set to begin in October.

Now, it has been reported by The Sun that two months ahead of kick off, the icon is said to have hired out The Coliseum in New York and is back rehearsing.

But the Holiday singer’s health problems aren’t said to be completely over, as she’s ‘still in recovery’.

A source told the publication: ‘She is very much still in recovery but Madonna has been chomping at the bit to get back to rehearsals.

‘Not only has she hired the Coliseum in New York but she’s also hired out a second venue in London for the final week of dress rehearsals.’

They continued to explain how the final week of rehearsals would normally see Madonna in the same venue as the tour starts in – in this case, London’s O2 – but due to Blink-182’s series of gigs, she can only get in 48 hours before.

The music icon recently reflected on her hospital stint, saying she was ‘lucky to be alive.’

She credited love from family and friends as her ‘best medicine’, and thanked all her ‘angels who protected [her] and let [her] stay to finish doing [her] work.’

Madonna’s Celebration Tour is set to be an epic career retrospective and is sure to include all of her greatest hits.

Alongside the icon, the tour will feature special guest Bob The Drag Queen, real name Caldwell Tidicue, across all dates.

Tickets were snapped up after Madonna announced the tour via the most epic, star-studded video teaser possible.

The Celebration Tour will mark Madonna’s first show since her Madame X run which ended in 2020.
