Savvy shopper Chloe Louise was stunned when she figured out how to get a free drink from the popular high street chain.
Thrilled with the discovery, the bargain hunter took to social media to alert other shoppers.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.3 million members, Chloe shared a snap of her Greggs hot drink and said: “If you download the Greggs app, you get a free hot drink.”

Chloe then revealed: “I got the new festive mint hot chocolate.”
If you fancy giving this new festive drink a try, all you need to do is simply download the Greggs app.
Yep, that’s right – it’s as simple as going to the app store and downloading the app.
Once you’ve downloaded the app and scanned it in store, you’ll be treated to a free hot drink.

Once you’ve collected nine stamps in a category, the 10th item will be free.
If that wasn’t enough, if you’re in a rush, you can use the app to do Click + Collect.
Simply tell the app what you want and when you want it, then pop down to your selected shop to grab the goods.
Chloe shared her post just 20 hours ago, and it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed over 100 likes and comments.
Social media users were stunned at the Greggs freebie and many were eager to alert their friends and loved ones in the comments.
One person tagged a friend and said: “Next time you go there.”
Another alerted a loved one and added: “Free hot chocolate on next coffee date.”
Meanwhile, many Greggs fans took to the comments to share their favourite drinks.
One commented: “The orange hot chocolate is my favourite.”
While someone else shared: “These are my favourite and the mocha and orange one to.”
At the same time, another Greggs shopper explained: “You can also get a free large drink, doesn't have to be regular.”
