With cameras outlawed, artists will draw! Celebrities are generally very protective of their images, but they can’t control how they’re portrayed in court when a sketch artist documents their presence, giving us the only glimpse into the courtroom. Sometimes the results are accurate, but other times, the sketches can be laughable… Having said that, let’s go to the drawing board!
Rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison after beingfound guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot in 2020. “If I could change it, I would, but I can’t,” he said before the Aug. 8, 2023, sentencing. “Everything I did that night, I take full responsibility. I truly am just trying to be a better person.” A courtroom sketch artist showed Tory wearing an orange jumpsuit and wrist chains during his speech to the judge. A glamorous-looking Megan Thee Stallion pointed at ex Tory Lanez while testifying against him during his shooting trial in Los Angeles on Dec. 13, 2022. Tory was charged with discharging a firearm with gross negligence, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle after he fired a gun at Megan’s feet in July 2020. “I looked down at my feet, and I see all the blood,” she testified. “Now everybody’s screaming.
