Euphoria star Angus Cloud's cause of death revealed

Angus Cloud’s cause of death has been revealed months after his death at the age of 25.

The Euphoria star died suddenly in July of this year, leading to an outpouring of love and grief from fans, friends and colleagues.

It came after the young actor was said to be struggling following the death of his father, who died weeks before from cancer.

Cloud’s devastated mother Lisa wrote in a social media post in the days following his death that her son did not mean to end his life, saying it may be discovered he ‘overdosed accidentally and tragically.’

His cause of death has now been confirmed following an autopsy.

According to TMZ, the Alameda County Coroner ruled his death an accidental overdose.

It’s understood he died from a combination of drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, benzodiazepine and methamphetamine, suffering acute intoxication from the lethal dose.

Cloud, who was best known for playing beloved character Fezco on the HBO drama, died at his family’s home in Oakland, California.

His death was announced by his family in a heartbroken statement in which they wrote: ‘

‘It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.’

They continued: ‘Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.’

Apart from his breakout role in Euphoria, Cloud’s other credits include roles in The Line and cameos in music videos for artists like Becky G, Karol G and Juice WRLD.
