OpéraSPORT co-founders Stephanie Gundelach and Awa Malina Stelter have taken over their home ground, returning to Copenhagen Fashion Week to communicate their delicate stance on fashion. For Spring/Summer 2024, OpéraSPORT embraced nature in all forms, taking attendees under Copenhagen’s rainy skies.
The runway show was backdropped by blossoming summer nature watered by Earth’s raw substances. The silhouettes were equally romantic, taking inspiration from transitional shapes and hues corresponding with seasonal change. As always, OpéraSPORT focused on complimenting the body’s native form, using skin-tight fabrics and floral embroidery to praise movement.
Aproned dresses received floral chest knots walking alongside parachute variations with mismatched ruffled edges. Textured reptile skin came alive on slouchy leather garments while trimmed cardigans and striped shirting laid atop haltered swimwear. For men, utilitarian button-downs were paired with oversized shorts splattered in abstract artwork, embracing the jorts trend with fresh patchwork styles.
