Analogue Unveils Limited Edition Glow-in-the-Dark Handheld, the Pocket Glow

Analogue has made headlines over the past few years for the highly-coveted Analogue Pocket. The handheld device pays tribute to the Game Boy and immediately sold out upon launching in 2020.

The Pocket has had a few more drops since its initial release but, now, Analogue is switching it up with a new iteration of the device perfect for those who like to stay up late gaming in the dark. The company has created a glow-in-the-dark model, aptly dubbed the Pocket Glow.

The handheld is made out of a material that will charge under sunlight, blacklight or an incandescent light bulb, enabling its glowing properties. Once charged, it’ll glow in the dark for eight hours at a time. For actual gaming purposes, the Pocket Glow can be charged with a USB-C cable.

Like its predecessor, the Pocket Glow can run all original Game Boy titles, as well as games made for the Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Gear, Atari Lynx and Neo Geo Pocket.

The Pocket Glow will be available in “limited quantities,” though it wasn’t revealed exactly how many units will be made, and priced at $250 USD. It’ll launch on September 1 and Analogue promises that all orders will ship out within 24 to 48 hours of being placed.
