Jeremy Clarkson breaks silence on show future as host sparks concern

Jeremy Clarkson was inundated with messages as he announced there would be “no more Grand Tour after next year”.

Taking to Instagram this evening, the former Top Gear presenter shared a stunning photo of a sunset as he reflected on his “busy” day but assured his 7.2 million followers they can look forward to more episodes of Clarkson’s Farm.

He penned: “Been a busy day. No more Grand Tour after next year but a LOT more Clarkson’s Farm. Which, this evening, is looking extremely lovely.”

The 63-year-old was inundated with messages as many social media users shared their disappointment over the news.

One person pleaded: “Please start a podcast with the three of you, it can just be called the news and you rant for an hour about cars.”

Another questioned: “WHY??? PLEASE NOOOO,” while a third wrote: “Can James and Richard join you on a special episode of Clarkson’s farm?!?”

A fourth person commented: “Sad to see GT end but delighted to hear the show goes on for Clarkson’s Farm.”

A fifth echoed: “While I am incredibly saddened by this news, it was inevitable. The literal decades of joy and laughter you brought to me and so many others around the world are immeasurable. From the power tests to the convertible van to the insane specials, all of them were jewels in the crown of my life. Thank you 3 for sticking it out as long as you have. You could’ve hung it up after TG but you kept going and even have your own personal projects now. We will miss you 3 dearly, thank you!”

“Make May and Hammond work the farm, problem solved,” another quipped.

Jeremy’s post sparked an outpouring of supportive messages as he received over 140,000 likes in a matter of hours.
