Bushtucker trials can be gruelling, and just plain nausea-inducing – but in spite of that, Nick Pickard’s beloved girlfriend Sarah Corrin has been “begging” friends and family to vote for him to be put through one of the challenges.
Nick, who usually plays restauranteur Tony Hutchinson in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, has had a lack of screen time on I’m A Celebrity, and Sarah believes a Trial is the best way to get him at the centre of the action.
“I’ve heard a lot of people say we’ve not seen enough of him on the screen,” she lamented, after flying into Brisbane to support her beau.
“I’ve still yet to see him do a Bushtucker Trial and all my friends and family are like, ‘What shall we do?’
“People are like, ‘You’re not meant to vote him in!’, but I think we are! I think he’d enjoy it,” she insisted to MailOnline.

She added that Nick hasn’t had the opportunity to showcase his “competitive” personality, insisting: “You haven’t seen all of him yet.”
Sarah had previously warned not to “mess with him and his food” to avoid a “hunger tantrum” from the soap star, but camp guests haven’t gone hangry yet thanks to cooking sessions from the likes of trained chef Fred Sirieix.
As Nick’s long-term love of several years, Sarah officially became the first camp member’s partner to touch down in Brisbane when she arrived this morning.
In spite of a long-haul flight, she looked wide awake and in good spirits as she beamed for the cameras in the airport, while pushing a luggage trolley, complete with two huge cases and a monogrammed Louis Vuitton bag.

Nick seemed to echo Sarah’s claims that he wouldn’t be dreading a Bushtucker Trial.
“I am obviously not looking forward to eating kangaroo balls, but at the same time, I am looking forward to the trials – that’s the fun part of doing this show,” Nick insisted to ITV.
“I love the ones where you climb up and jump for a star, or the ones getting submerged in water.”
He clarified that he wouldn’t be quitting his soap role to take part, as his “supportive” bosses had given him time off to take advantage of the “once in a lifetime opportunity”.
Meanwhile, Nick, who is the only original Hollyoaks cast member still starring in the series after joining the soap nearly 30 years ago, has been notoriously tight-lipped about his relationship.
However, he has shared photos of himself and Sarah on Instagram in the past.
Prior to dating her, the soap legend famously dated his Hollyoaks co-star Joanna Taylor, after things heated up between the pair back in 2001.
Starring as Geri Hudson at the time, Joanna enjoyed a one-year relationship off-screen with Nick, before calling it quits and saying goodbye to both the romance and the soap.
She went on to star in BBC police drama Merseybeat, and married TV pundit Danny Murphy.
Meanwhile, Nick also has a 25-year-old daughter named Ellie from a previous relationship, who stays firmly out of the public eye.
