But if you don’t have patience to wait in line, some people in the know have shared news of a hidden entrance which allows visitors to breeze through in no time.
Erin Tridle, who is originally from Los Angeles but now based in Paris with her French husband, reveals how to access the entrance in a short TikTok tutorial which has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.
In the clip, she points viewers in the direction of an arch ‘that’s under construction right now and eventually you’ll see a stairway that says Le Carrousel du Louvre.’

While crowds of people can be seen around the Louvre’s main entrance, there is no one at Le Carrousel du Louvre stairway.
Before tackling this entrance, Erin advises purchasing tickets online to guarantee entry and so that the PDF can be shown easily to inspectors.
Erin said when she took this sneaky route, it only took her ‘about five minutes’ to get through the security and access the museum.
‘It was super fast,’ she exclaims.
Many viewers have thanked Erin for sharing her Louvre queuing hack.
