Married At First Sight UK has made its triumphant return, already bringing its fair share of dramatic moments as we've watched the first few couples tie the knot.
Turning in for the first episode on Monday, 18 September, we were introduced to the glamorous Laura Vaughan who made it clear from the get-go she thoroughly enjoys the finer things in life and everything to do with Chelsea. So much so, that the word Chelsea was thrown about rather a lot during her air time.
The 34-year-old finance manager who hails from Hampshire is quickly becoming one of the most notable characters on the show after being paired with tennis coach Arthur. Laura insisted her "criteria" had not been met after asking for "a Chelsea boy with an edge", but after the best man's speech, she started to see her hubby in a new light.
As we watch their newfound relationship play out, we take a closer look inside Laura's life away from the show, including her reality TV ex and lavish lifestyle…
First marriage
During her debut on the show, Laura revealed that she had been married once before and that their relationship broke down during lockdown. She was in the relationship for four years and was married for just eight months before she decided to "pack her bags and leave".
Speaking to the press ahead of the show, Laura said because they weren't married for long she felt she "didn't get to explore married life" and hopes MAFS will be more successful as "No one wants to be divorced twice."
The finance manager also revealed that she used to watch MAFS when she was "happily married" and "felt smug" watching people try to find love on the show.
On Instagram, she wrote: "Funny story, a few years ago I remember watching one of the first seasons of MAFS. I was then married, (happily) but sat there thinking 'this is crazy – what an incredible premise for a show'.
"I was also obviously sat there feeling quite smug that for then at least, I’d managed to find a husband the ‘traditional’ way. Well, fast forward a few years, one broken heart and divorce later, here I am. Putting it all on the line again for a second chance at love."
Finer things in life
It turns out Laura really wasn't joking when she said she likes the finer things in life and kept referring to Chelsea, revealing she spends weekends in the affluent London Borough. As well as this her Instagram states that she splits her time between the UK and Mykonos and she is often sharing sun soaked snaps from lavish trips.
And if her photos are anything to go by, she really does indulge in an oat latte every day alongside an outing with her latest designer handbag which she has a huge collection. While in Chelsea and Kensington, she is often sharing snaps while heading out for brunch with her close pals or sipping on wine at the local hotspots including Bluebird and King’s Road.
TV stints and Made in Chelsea ex
Some viewers may recognise Laura who also appeared on Celebs Go Dating and so is no stranger to relationship expert Paul C Brunson. As well as this she's also dated Angus Findlay from Made in Chelsea which is hardly a surprise with her social status.
Talking to The Sun about her previous TV experiences Laura revealed: "I did Celebs Go Dating and I dated Angus in Made in Chelsea – I knew what it was all about."
When asked if she was worried about being accused of being "fame hungry" due to her previous TV stints, Laura said: "They’re all dating shows.
"We’ve said this, with Celebs Go Dating, I knew I wasn’t going to get married with it. If your intentions are pure, just because you’re doing it in the format of a show it doesn’t change that."
