I'm an esthetician – women age faster than men, 2 mistakes to stop and an ingredient that's shown to turn back time | The Sun

A SKINCARE expert has revealed two common mistakes people make that lead to faster aging.

Not to fret, as the professional also offered an ingredient that's been proven to turn back time.

Matt Randon (@mattrandon), an esthetician, warned viewers to avoid the mistakes in a video shared with over 940,000 followers.

The content creator reacted to the youthful-looking woman who revealed she was 48 years old.

"If you want to age gracefully, here are some things you should do," he said.

He explained that according to studies, women age faster than men but there were ways to combat it.

"First up, this is going to be hard but you need to quit eating sugar," he said.

He explained that sugar causes glycation, a process that breaks down collagen and causes wrinkles.

Another thing to avoid was alcohol, as the substance accelerates aging by damaging DNA.

Matt recommended picking up the Life Extension NAD+ Cell Regenerator supplements, $41, as well as some retinol and sunscreen.

"It's quite expensive but so worth it because NDA+ has been shown to reverse the process of aging," he explained.

People took to the comments to thank him for his sage advice.

"Yep that's true, I’m 51 and people think I’m 38," said one commenter who swore by his advice.

"I’ve worn sunscreen and stayed out of the sun since I was 18. I don’t drink or smoke. I don’t eat sugar."

"I stopped eating sugar and my acne is gone and I feel more awake I’m less hungry," said another.

Others joked that if the cost of looking young was so dire, they'd give up on the quest: "You know what, I am absolutely fine with aging," said one viewer who tacked on a wine and cake emoji.
