Earlier this month, Snoh Aalegra shared the light and breezy summertime single “Sweet Tea.” And just a week prior to that release, she had dropped the comparably sultry “Be My Summer.”
The experimental R&B powerhouse is keeping things moving with yet another new track. This song is called “Wait A Little Longer” and was produced by Sensei Bueno and Mellodust.
Over piano melodies punctuated with the sound of fingers snapping, Aalegra sings about mourning a lost love and the potential of once again connecting with that person.
“Mm, yeah, I’m done holdin’ / Onto what ain’t meant to be mine,” she sings in the chorus. “And I’ll wait a little longer, ’til onе day / I’m second guessin’ what I’ll know I find.”
The last full-length release fans got from the singer was 2021’s Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies. That project ended up garnering the Iranian Swedish-born singer a nomination for Best R&B Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. With this influx of new releases, fans are hoping Aalegra also has a new LP up her sleeve and will share it in the near future.
