Peggy Gou has been making the rounds with her chart-topping single “(It Goes Like) Nanana” with performances in major cities across the globe. One of the seemingly most-played electronic tracks of the summer, the DJ has shared an official visual for the song.
Directed by Thomas Hardiman and creative directed by Gou herself, the video finds the DJ in Ibiza, the unequivocal party capital of the world. The artistically-driven visual finds her hanging out with friends and sharing drinks, cut with idealistic scenes from the island and dance sequences. By the end of the video, Gou is sporting a bright orange bob, the distinct look that features on the“(It Goes Like) Nanana” cover art.
“There’s a feeling we all know but is hard to describe, that feeling of love, warmth and excitement when you’re surrounded by friends and loved ones and the energy speaks for itself,” Gou described the track. “It’s difficult to put into words but to me it goes ‘nanana!’”
The song comes off of the DJ’s highly anticipated forthcoming debut album. While the project has yet to receive a release date, it’s expected to deliver some more of Gou’s early 2000s-inspired club anthems.
