Swiss luxury watchmaker, Parmigiani Fleurier, has revealed a fresh line of compact-sized Tonda PF Automatic 36mm watches, designed to appeal to a broader range of enthusiasts through a more versatile, unisex design.
Challenging the conventional approach that would link the diameter of a watch to a specific genre, Parmigiani Fleurier has carved out an alternative route with a smaller 36mm case size, a route that is becoming popular amongst a variety of watchmakers and wearers.
The two latest additions to the Tonda PF Automatic line include one watch in a two-tone steel and gold design and the other in rose gold with a deep ruby dial, bearing the hallmarks of contrasting colors and precious materials. These models aim to embody the brand’s commitment to refinement and minimalism, a statement further accentuated by the fine knurled bezel recreated in 18ct rose gold and the tapering profile of the integrated bracelet.
While the profile is reduced, the Tonda PF Automatic 36mm collection mirrors the aesthetic appeal and technical prowess of its larger 40mm counterpart, just in a more compact frame. This new diameter, introduced in 2022, caters to slender wrist sizes, marking it as a unisex choice. Notably, the rose gold model, adorned with diamond indices, clinched the Women’s Watch Prize at the prestigious 2022 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genรจve (GPHG).
Both the two-tone and rose gold Tonda PF Automatic 36mm watches are available now through authorized retailers and are priced at $26,885 USD and $59,259 USD respectively — complete technical details can also be found on Parmigiani Fleurier’s official site.
