Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans are gearing up for another NBA season with Williamson looking to avoid the waves of injuries that has plagued his career thus far. Backing him up, Jordan Brand has worked closely with the young star to develop their latest entry in Williamson’s line of signature shoes — the Jordan Zion 3. Revealed back in early July, the shoe emphasizes three points — containment, court feel and impact protection.
Now, the teased “Mud, Sweat and Tears” colorway has been officially presented by the brand ahead of its release next month. Its upper utilizes the shoe’s signature pattern — one that was created via 3D imaging of Williamson’s foot last launching through mud as he feels he has “made it out of the mud.” This pattern takes form in a vibrant spread of blue and red hues with the shoe’s base sporting a “Mint Foam” base. Jumpman branding hits both the tongue and heel while “ZION” text is similarly present at the heel.
