Guitar maker Harley Benton has launched four new build-your-own wooden guitar kits. In the mix are acoustic and electric models and one bass guitar, available for both righties and lefties.
First in the lineup is a square edition of the classic electric guitar, which is similar to Harley Benton’s older models, save for its peculiar shape. The guitar isn’t necessarily meant to be assembled as is, however, with the company advertising that the square shape gives owners plenty of room to carve out their own design.
The ST-LH is made out of solid wood that’s been treated with a coat of wood filler and features a board with 22 frets. The TL T-Style, meanwhile, is made for those seeking the classic electric twang in a wooden model, delivering a Rengas body, maple neck and an amaranth fretboard.
Harley Benton hasn’t forgotten the bass players among their audience. The MB-Style also has a Rengas body, along with a Double Action Truss Rod and a 21-fret board. The company warns that the bass “requires a certain level of manual dexterity” to assemble.
