Carol Vorderman is constantly wowing fans with her stunning social media snaps, from gym mirror photos to sun-soaked bikini posts.
The former Countdown presenter, 62, certainly has her fitness regime sussed out, and has shared her secrets with OK! in an exclusive new chat – including how she can almost do the splits!
When we ask how she keeps up with her fitness goals, mother-of-two Carol explains: "I love hiking, but that’s hardly been happening because I’ve either been busy travelling from my home in Bristol for work or I’ve been in London, and obviously I can’t go hiking there.
"So I’ve mainly been going to the gym. But I’ve really missed outdoor exercise and I crave it. Earlier this year, I looked back at my diary and I’d only spent 40 to 50 nights at home in over a year. I thought, “I’ve really got to address this.”"
Over the years, Carol has learned what works for her when it comes to exercise, now focusing on weight training to remain toned.
"I do weight training in the gym. And as you get older, you have to do more of that. I have some equipment in my lounge too, so I can do stuff at home like hip thrusts, kettlebells, some basic arms and shoulders and glutes," she explains.
"I’m feeling super fit and well. I follow women on Instagram who are in their fifties or older who are into fitness, and I just think they’re amazing.
"One woman is 85 and she uses parallel bars. It’s extraordinary. I can nearly do the splits for the first time in my life."
Despite reaching her sixties, Carol is feeling amazing in herself and doesn't worry when it comes to ageing, explaining that she ensures she keeps healthy by eating well, sticking to minimal alcohol and steering clear of smoking.
She has also recently been open about having Botox and treatments to her skin, pointing out in a new interview with The Times that it's very common in her area of work.
During the interview, she described getting treatments as "part of the job," adding: "It would be less important if I weren’t on the telly."
She continued: "I have Botox and a lot of treatments to my face and neck. Everyone does."
