Nothing screams Christmas more than festive chocolate in the supermarket, with Lindt and Cadbury known for their popular Santas and reindeer.<\/p>\n

However, budget supermarkets Aldi and Lidl also have their own versions, and for much cheaper than the others too.<\/p>\n

Prices vary drastically between Lindt which is around \u00a33 for a medium-sized reindeer compared to Aldi\u2019s for just 89p.<\/p>\n

Cadbury\u2019s version can be picked up for around \u00a32, while Lidl\u2019s Santa retails for just \u00a31.09.<\/p>\n

I couldn\u2019t get my hands on Aldi\u2019s Christmas Santa so opted for the reindeer alternative which is under the Dairyfine brand.<\/p>\n

It weighed 105g and for 89p I didn\u2019t have high hopes that this would be tasty, but I was quite surprised.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t too sweet or milky which could be a favourite for many people, although I do like some creaminess to my chocolate.<\/p>\n

The flavour did let it down slightly but it is a great gift nonetheless for just 89p.<\/p>\n

However, the packaging was great and very similar to the Lindt version, just without its signature bell around the neck.<\/p>\n

Lidl offers a striking chocolate Santa which is very tall and weighs 150g, slightly less than Aldi\u2019s 175g chocolate Santa.<\/p>\n

The taste is very different to Aldi\u2019s though as it was far creamier and had a much nicer taste than Aldi\u2019s version.<\/p>\n

I also found the Lidl one to taste better than the Kinder version which I recently put to the test against Cadbury and Lindt.<\/p>\n
