A SAVVY cleaning whizz has revealed how to banish condensation with an easy 2p hack – and you need is a common kitchen item.<\/p>\n

As the weather gets colder, most households across the nation are struggling with condensation – which can lead to the growth of mould.<\/p>\n

According to research by Homebrite, the problem is huge – an astronomical 58 per cent – or 2.7 million – of privately rented households in the UK\u00a0are dealing with\u00a0damp, mould and\/or excessive cold.<\/p>\n

But not only can mould make for an unsightly mess, the widespread fungi can affect also lead to a number of health-related issues.<\/p>\n

Being exposed to and inhaling the mould spores can cause a range of problems, including sneezing, a runny nose, red eyes and skin rash.<\/p>\n

The NHS\u00a0warned\u00a0that those particularly vulnerable are people with respiratory problems,\u00a0respiratory infections,\u00a0allergies\u00a0or\u00a0asthma, as well as\u00a0babies\u00a0and the elderly.<\/p>\n

However, whilst there are several easy ways to tackle the issue – such as investing in a dehumidifier or switching the heating on – many cash-strapped families cannot afford these methods.<\/p>\n

Luckily, plenty of social media users have come to rescue with their favourite winter hacks – and now one woman, only known as @oureastlondonflat, has joined them.<\/p>\n

According to the cleaning whizz, from London, the answer is super simple and will only cost you pennies – a little dash of washing-up liquid squeezed onto a microfiber cloth.<\/p>\n

Simply wipe onto dry windows and voila – the surface will be too slippery for the water droplets to stick to the cold glass.<\/p>\n
