WITH Christmas just around the corner, many of us will be indulging in everything from chocolate to mince pies and a cheese board.<\/p>\n

But if you're still hoping to fit into that figure-hugging party frock, then shapewear could just be the perfect answer.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

However, with so many available on the market at all different price ranges, how do you know which is really <\/em>worth your money?<\/p>\n

Well, a woman named Christina decided to put shapewear from Spanx, Kim Kardashian's brand Skims and Primark to the test to find an answer once and for all. <\/p>\n

In the clip posted to TikTok (@christinatblaney), she begins by asking: "Which is better, Skims or Spanx?"<\/p>\n

She then explains how she purchased a pair of Skims shorts and a pair of Spanx shorts, which cost around \u00a340 each. <\/p>\n

"Both are wildly expensive but I want to see which one is best
and if it's worth the price tag," she explains.<\/p>\n

First up is Spanx, with Christina noting that she's usually a size 12 but has sized down to an 8-10.<\/p>\n

"It was a challenge getting them on, but my God, already I can tell these are going to be banging," she says.<\/p>\n

Pointing at her tummy, she enthuses: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, where's that gone?<\/p>\n

"Absolutely sensational!<\/p>\n

"These are really comfy, the material's nice and thin as well…they also have this sticky bit at the top, which stops them from falling down."<\/p>\n

Next up, she pulls herself into the Skims shapewear, which she ordered in a size small.<\/p>\n

"Right, the Skims are a lot harder to get on," she explains. "However, the support is sensational.<\/p>\n

"They're a little bit see through, but who cares? It's shapewear! No one's going to see it.<\/p>\n

"There's also a hole in the crotch, which I actually love
because I'm not going to have to peel these down every time I need the loo."<\/p>\n

She continues: "And again, absolutely sensational! The shape difference is just amazing."<\/p>\n

Christina then throws in a last minute curveball and compares the pricier options to her much loved Primark ones, which she has in a size medium.<\/p>\n

"Now I've worn these to death, so they are a bit stretched," she says. <\/p>\n

"But tell me that doesn't give the same sort of look…what do you think? <\/p>\n

"If anything, they're comfier, it's still smooth, it's still flattened…maybe not as much as the other two.<\/p>\n

"And the fact is I paid \u00a312 for these ones and I've paid almost \u00a340 for the Skims and the Spanx."<\/p>\n

She concludes: "Spanx and Skims are great products and make you look fantastic, but so are the cheap versions as well, so it just depends on your budget.<\/p>\n

Christina captioned the post: "Do we think they are worth \u00a340 a pair?"<\/p>\n

The post quickly went viral, garnering a whopping 75k views and several comments from social media users.<\/p>\n

"The shapewear knickers and shorts from Primark and Tesco do exactly the same thing for a fraction of the price I always buy them," wrote one.<\/p>\n

A second penned: "Think the Spanx give you the best shape."<\/p>\n

A third commented: "Th\u00e9 skims one make you look natural but the Spanx give you figure."<\/p>\n
