MOST parents choose to celebrate their toddler's birthday with adecorated cake and candles. <\/p>\n

But not mum-of-two Dani, who explained how she swapped the more traditional sweet treat for \u201ctomahawk steak and wild-caught lobster\u201d with \u201cgrass-fed organic butter."<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old, who is pregnant with her third child, took to TikTok (@dani_fitmom) and posted a video showing her one-year-old daughter and two-year-old son tucking into the rather unusual choice of meal on their birthdays.<\/p>\n

Alongside the video, which has divided opinion online, she penned: "It\u2019s our family tradition \u2013 surf n\u2019 turf platter to celebrate!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth my kids prefer steak over sweets so this is how we do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the clips, the kids can be seen gnawing down on a huge steak bone after seemingly ripping off all of the meat.<\/p>\n

In caption alongside the video of her son, Dani noted how he had \u201crequested \u2018moo\u2019 and \u2018fish\u2019 for his bday.\u201d<\/p>\n

It wasn't long before the post went viral, garnering a whopping 6.5 million views and several comments – with very <\/em>mixed responses. <\/p>\n

While some highlighted the choking risks with steak, others told how it's a meal they'd give to their dog.<\/p>\n

"Nobody worrying about choking on steak is wild to me I sometimes still have trouble," wrote one.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, others were quick to jump to Dani\u2019s defence, with one pointing out: "Yes!! Sugar is so bad for you!"<\/p>\n

Another noted: "Yes!! Sugar is so bad for you!"<\/p>\n

A further questioned: \u201cWait, [I\u2019m] confused why are people finding this offensive?\u201d<\/p>\n

And one more chimed in: \u201cEx vegan here, now eat animal-based with our 2-year-old and I LOVE this.\u201d<\/p>\n
