A SHORT UK train journey has been labelled the "most scenic" in the country by people who love its spectacular sea views.<\/p>\n

Gazing out of the window is one of the best ways to kill time on flights or train journeys, with some routes more enjoyable than others.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

One trip that rail enthusiasts seem to love is along a stretch of the Cornish coast and takes just 10 minutes to complete.<\/p>\n

The route from St Erth to St Ives only stops at Carbis bay en route to its final destination, but the views out the window for the whole journey are pretty spectacular.<\/p>\n

One person who was impressed was Tiktoker Bucket List Traveller (@tiktokbucketlisttravel) who filmed their experience on the train.<\/p>\n

Their video showed the scenes out the window and was captioned: "The most scenic train journey in Britain has to be St Erth to St Ives in Cornwall, truly amazing views of the Cornish coast."<\/p>\n

Another simply added: "Very nice!"<\/p>\n

As mentioned in the Tiktok video, tickets for the journey can be booked for \u00a33 via the Southwestern Railway website.<\/p>\n

It's not just Bucket List Traveller who have been impressed with the route, with Great Scenic Railways also describing it as "one of the most scenic in Britain".<\/p>\n

They also recommended a specific place to sit on the train to make the most of the the journey.<\/p>\n

They said: "Enjoy spectacular views as the line sweeps along the coast past the golden sands of Hayle Towans and\u00a0Carbis Bay\u00a0before arriving in\u00a0St Ives.<\/p>\n

"If you can, sit on the right hand side of the train when you get on at\u00a0St Erth. The views out across the sea are fantastic!"<\/p>\n

Another highlight of the journey is that St Ives station is situated right next to Porthminster beach, meaning the sand and sea can be accessed almost immediately.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the station is less than a ten minute walk into town, where the harbour, shops, galleries and pubs can be explored.<\/p>\n

Another train route that people in the UK love is the East Coast train line between Durham and Edinburgh, with coastal views and city landscapes among the sights that can be seen out the window.<\/p>\n

Newcastle, Berwick, Lindisfarne and Durham Cathedral are all among the highlights on that route.<\/p>\n
