A WOMAN has revealed the "biggest hack" that she uses to get a whole bottle of water through airport security.

Despite the 100ml liquid rule being drilled into most air passengers, there are ways to skirt the strict rule.

TikTok user Grace, who is known as Gracietravels on the social media platform, recently shared a lesser-known hack with her thousands of followers.

In the video, she said: "First off, I know a lot of people don't know this, but you can actually take a full bottle of water through airport security,

"But you can only do this if it's frozen because ice is solid and water is a liquid.

"All you have to do is freeze the water before you leave for the airport, and then before you hit security, just drink whatever has melted.

"To me, personally, I think that's the biggest hack ever."

The video has had over 120,000 views on the social media platform, with users jumping into the comments to share their disbelief at the frozen water hack.

One person wrote: "If you freeze the water, make sure it’s not in your favourite water bottle because a security officer may not let it through."

Meanwhile, other users suggested bringing an empty water bottle through security and refilling it at the airport.

According to the Transportation Security Administration: "Frozen liquid items are allowed through the checkpoint as long as they are frozen solid when presented for screening.

"If frozen liquid items are partially melted, slushy, or have any liquid at the bottom of the container, they must meet 3-1-1 liquids requirements."

Those passengers who are flying from the US should be able to take frozen liquids through airport security.

There are several other tricks passengers can use to get around the strict liquid rules.

Last year, Tiktok user Emily McKeon explained how holidaymakers can carry liquid make-up remover and face wash in their hand luggage without eating into their liquid allowance.

She told passengers to put some cotton pads into a plastic bag and pour make-up remover, or face wash, onto them.

The pads will then soak the products up, so there won't be any liquid.

If the pads are kept inside a sealed, airtight bag, they will remain moist, which means you can use them at your end destination.

Earlier this year, one woman was praised as a "genius" for sharing how she skirts strict liquid rules by placing a Boots order of holiday items like shower gel, suncream, and moisturiser.

As she ordered the items, which were all over 100ml, she opted for airport click and collect – meaning she could pick it up after security.

Not only that, but it meant she didn't have to pay airport prices which are often higher than the high street.

Several flight attendants have also revealed that they pack soap, shampoo, and conditioner bars because they don't count towards the liquid allowance.

Here are some other clever ways to get around the 100ml liquid rules.

Read More on Travel
