Known for their American muscle builds, Jim and Mike Ring, the co-founders of Ringbrothers, have unveiled their latest custom work — a 1969 Dodge Charger fitted with a 1,000 HP Mopar Hellephant engine, a vehicle they’re calling the “TUSK.”

The TUSK represents a meticulously engineered reimagination of the classic Charger, with the Wisconsin-based builders taking special care to showcase a blend of vintage style with modern-day automotive technology and performance prowess.

At the heart of TUSK lies Mopar’s Hellephant engine, a 1,000 HP powerhouse, notably limited to just 100 units and the key factor that propels this classic muscle car into the modern era. The engine’s immense power is harnessed through a six-speed Bowler TREMEC T-56 Magnum manual transmission and delivered to the rear wheels via a custom carbon-fiber driveshaft.

Ringbrothers didn’t stop at merely revamping the engine, TUSK’s exterior also sees a blend of the old and the new. The Charger’s original “coke-bottle” body is enhanced with a one-piece carbon-fiber front surround, a custom-built hood with machined billet hood scoop grilles and bespoke front and rear bumpers. Furthering its menacing stance are the tucked and narrowed bumpers, reshaped and extended rear quarter end caps and a specially designed belly pan.

Inside the cabin, the TUSK boasts modern comforts, featuring a tailor-made leather interior, a carbon-fiber console and the signature “pistol grip” shifter, paying homage to Mopar’s tradition. These details extend to the Ringbrothers TUSK Edition HRE Wheels, Fox RS SV coilovers and the Baer Brakes Extreme 6S six-piston calipers.

“Performance and design shaped this build. It really shows what can be accomplished when cutting-edge techniques work in tandem with painstaking levels of detail and imagination,” shared Ringbrothers co-owner Mike Ring, adding, “The second-gen Charger is one of those cars that’s so iconic as the zenith of American muscle car styling and performance, and that’s what we set out to replicate with this build. Of course, we must thank our partners HRE Wheels, BASF, Miller Welding and others for supporting us every step of the way.”

While plans to sell this exact build have not yet been shared at the time of writing, the Ringbrothers do sell a variety of custom parts for muscle enthusiasts looking to craft their own builds, via their official site.
