OTSUMO, the company behind HUMAN MADE, is opening the doors to the streetwear enthusiast’s paradise in the heart of Minami Aoyama, Tokyo. OTSUMO PLAZA, opening later this week, will house a handful of concepts from OTSUMO’s creative director NIGO, and graphic artist VERDY, making it the first physical store where you can consistently purchase VERDY designs such as Wasted Youth.<\/p>\n
In 2022, NIGO spearheaded OTSUMO CENTRE \u2013 more commonly known as OTSUMOSO \u2013 \u00a0a shared atelier for globally successful creators throughout Tokyo. “Just like the Tokiwaso, the apartment where Showa manga artists gathered, I want to make OTSUMO CENTRE a place that embodies the activities of the creators, who will lead the next generation of Japan,” NIGO shared in a statement. With OTSUMO PLAZA, NIGO wants to “give shape to the ideas generated by the creators of the OTSUMO CENTER and physically develop them for an actual store.”<\/p>\n
