The estate of Juice Wrld and Dr. Luke are facing a copyright lawsuit from alleged “Not Enough” contributor, PD Beats (Pierre Orpheus DeJournette). DeJournette claims he was unfairly left out of the 2021 track, and alleges that Dr. Luke (Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald) and the estate of Juice WRLD (Jarad Anthony Higgins) have withheld his profits.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefendants have released, marketed, distributed, and monetized the subject song without accrediting or providing PD Beats his proportional share of the revenue,\u201d DeJournette’s lawyers wrote. \u201cDefendants have failed to meaningfully respond, necessitating this action.\u201d<\/p>\n

Specifically, DeJournette asserts that he contributed the “original guitar, performance, and production\u201d to the Fighting Demons<\/em> track, also “writing the beats and programming the 808s,” and ultimately deeming that without his help, “Not Enough” would be “missing key elements that form the basis of the subject song\u2019s audience appeal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, DeJournette is looking to “equally own the copyrights\u201d \u2013 he claims himself a co-writer (though doesn’t say on which tracks), and wants a judicial declaration that he is a co-owner, as well as a court-ordered accounting of the song\u2019s revenue.<\/p>\n
