A COUPLE have revealed that they always thought McDonald\u2019s Monopoly was a scam until they won the ultimate prize.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Holly Doecke and her partner were left stunned when they won a major prize on the fast food chain\u2019s Monopoly game – a brand new car.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

Holly, who is from Melbourne, Australia, took to social media to show off their prize – a red Volkswagen Polo – leaving many open-mouthed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve never played the McDonald\u2019s Monopoly before, to win prizes, fans must collect stickers from their food packaging that represent pieces from the classic game.<\/p>\n

You can also collect the pieces through the McDonald's app – a feature introduced last year.<\/p>\n

McDonald's Monopoly usually lasts for around six weeks, and this year it's set to end on October 17.<\/p>\n

While you can win coupons for free food items and gift vouchers for online stores, among the top prizes this year are \u00a3100,000 in cash for five winners, TUI holidays worth \u00a32,000 and "gold cards", which give you a free medium Maccies meal every week for a year.<\/p>\n

Last year, Holly claimed that she won the brand new car on the chain\u2019s Monopoly.<\/p>\n

Showing off her new car online, Holly explained: \u201cUs thinking Maccas Monopoly was a scam\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Seconds later, we saw the couple at a Volkswagen showroom, as Holly\u2019s partner stood next<\/span> to their brand new car, complete with a bright yellow bow on the bonnet, as she continued: \u201cThen winning the major prize.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holly then thanked the fast food giant and beamed: \u201cThanks Maccas for the new ride!\u201d<\/p>\n

The blonde beauty later confirmed: \u201cWe thought [we would have to provide our receipt] but we only had to provide the winning ticket.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe day we found out we scrambled to get the receipt from Maccas but didn't need it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @hollydoecke, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has amassed a staggering 499,700 views.<\/p>\n

Social media users were stunned at Holly\u2019s epic prize and many took to the comments to express this.<\/p>\n

One person said: \u201cLUCKY, ALL I GET IS A BURGER.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another added: \u201cThe dream!!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

A third commented: \u201cFirst time I've seen someone actually win.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: \u201cI\u2019m in shock.\u201d<\/p>\n

To this, Holly responded: \u201cLiterally me too.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
