I&#8217;m a pilot and here&#8217;s what we REALLY do during long-haul flights<\/h3>\n<p>The pilot likened the footage to a &#8216;kind of motorway in the sky,&#8217; which he said is what occurs when following &#8216;standard airways&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to BAA Training: &#8216;Commercial aircraft flying below 29,000 feet must maintain a vertical separation of 1,000 feet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Any higher and the separation increases to 2,000 feet, except in airspace where Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) applies.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pilot revealed that the plane was as close as 1000 feet away, and\u00a0<span>asked: &#8216;Beautiful, isn&#8217;t it?&#8217; to which he received a mixed response.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Since it was posted, the now-viral video has gained close to 770,000 views and has raked in hundreds of mixed responses.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One rather blunt user wrote: &#8216;No that looks terrifying.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/07\/13\/76212429-12597959-Asking_his_TikTok_followers_Beautiful_isn_t_it_the_pilot_has_spa-a-63_1696680817016.jpg\" height=\"1129\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Asking his TikTok followers &#8216;Beautiful, isn&#8217;t it?&#8217; the pilot has sparked very mixed reactions in people<\/p>\n<p>To which the pilot responded: &#8216;Why is that terrifying?
