IT\u2019S not just the John Lewis Christmas telly advert that\u2019s long awaited every festive season – it\u2019s the tree decorations too.<\/p>\n

And this year, shoppers have dubbed the department store\u2019s Christmas baubles as \u201cunhinged\u201d – think fried chicken, oat milk and air fryers.\u00a0<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

John Lewis\u2019 Time Capsule range has caused a stir on social media as Brits aren\u2019t sure how to feel about the far-from-classic baubles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It has released glass rainbow pizza slices, sushi platters, bangers and mash plates, fried chicken buckets and bottles of soy sauce to adorn your Christmas tree.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Most of the baubles cost \u00a38 and all of them have a shiny finish.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shopper Kirsty May took to TikTok to showcase a selection of the bonkers baubles that she saw in store.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There were two super controversial baubles ejected from Kirsty\u2019s post – an air fryer and a carton of oat milk.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the actual f**k has happened to Christmas decorations,\u201d another echoed. \u201cAbsolutely awful!\u201d<\/p>\n

John Lewis\u2019 \u00a38 air fryer bauble also struck a few nerves, with people dubbing it \u201ca bit much\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSeen the air fryer on the website last week and thought, what the eff?\u201d one viewer commented on Kirsty\u2019s post.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing says festive like an air fryer after all,\u201d another penned.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, the modern baubles were a hit with some Brits who thought they were \u201cadorable\u201d, with one yuletide fanatic saying \u201cthe tackier, the better\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would have those,\u201d another added. \u201cMy tree is full of unhinged decorations, including a very festive squid, dinosaurs and zebra and a kangaroo.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hilariously, John Lewis responded to Kirsty\u2019s now-viral TikTok post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou call them unhinged, we call them insanely good,\u201d the store replied. \u201cIt\u2019s a fine line.\u201d<\/p>\n
