The pair performed the song on Saturday night, September 23, at NRG Stadium in Megan’s hometown Houston.

“Do we have any savage ladies and gentlemen in the house tonight?” Beyonce asked the crowd at NRG Stadium after her verse. “Please give it up for Houston’s own Megan Thee Stallion.”

“I’m that b***. Been that b***, still that b**. Will forever be that b***” Megan said as she arrived on Beyonce’s stage. “What’s up, Houston?”

The “Savage” remix was surprise-released on April 29, 2020, and featured on Megan’s debut album Good News.

The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Megan’s first and Beyonce’s seventh No. 1 on the chart. As of May 2021, the song is certified quadruple platinum in the U.S.

The remix also received two awards at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
