Strictly Come Dancing\u2019s Amy Dowden shared she was beginning her fifth round of chemotherapy in her latest health update.<\/p>\n
The professional dancer, 33, who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer earlier this year, shared a picture of herself from the hospital having the treatment on Instagram.<\/p>\n
Amy, who recently shaved her head and has regularly kept her followers updated with her trips to hospital, waved at the camera and captioned the Story: \u2018Chemo 5.\u2019<\/p>\n
Since being diagnosed, Amy has undergone a single mastectomy and is now having chemotherapy after\u00a0doctors sadly found more tumours,\u00a0which has also forced her out of Strictly 2023.<\/p>\n
However, fans were delighted to see her included in the opening credits of the current series of Strictly Come Dancing, which has stars including Bobby Brazier and Amanda Abbington among the cast.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the first live show, Amy made it clear that\u00a0she\u2019s rooting for her co-stars.<\/p>\n
Amy \u2013 who announced in June that she had undergone a mastectomy \u2013 posted photo of her dressed in Strictly glamour to her Instagram and wrote: \u2018Happy live show day @bbcstrictly. Wishing the entire team a fabulous show and I know it\u2019s going to be amazing!<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ve been kept up to date with the pros and a few sneaky FaceTimes! Literally can\u2019t wait to watch and support you all.<\/p>\n

\u2018Hopefully, I\u2019ll be there in a few weeks.\u2019<\/p>\n
Her words of encouragement came after Amy shared a video of her loved ones\u00a0helping her shave her head\u00a0as she revealed she had crossed the halfway point in\u00a0her chemotherapy treatment.<\/p>\n
She admitted this was the \u2018hardest step so far having previously attempted to save her hair with a cold cap, however, sadly, it continued to fall out.<\/p>\n

The dancer added: \u2018I\u2019ve not been able to take control of this journey so far, but as you can see with some of my loved ones I took the courage and control.\u2019<\/p>\n
She said it would \u2018take some time\u2019 to get used to her new look, but now she\u2019s focused on getting back to being the \u2018happy, dancing tea lover who talks way too fast, rolling every R and who is still there inside, with our without hair.\u2019<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, Amy joined her Strictly co-stars at the NTAs and looked radiant\u00a0in a\u00a0stunning tulle dress.<\/p>\n
