Hotel Chocolat is the latest retailer to issue an urgent food recall for one of its products due to an issue with the ingredients.<\/p>\n
The item being pulled from shelves is known as the “Hotel Chocolat Choose Your Poison”, which is uniquely packaged in a glass flask with a cork stopper.<\/p>\n
Each product contains 36 filled chocolates, all of which could be contaminated by pieces of glass in certain batches sold recently.<\/p>\n
The possible presence of glass makes the product, which is sold at Hotel Chocolat boutiques, online, and at John Lewis, unsafe to eat.<\/p>\n
In a recall notice posted on the Hotel Chocolat website, the retailer said: “We’re very sorry that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience and concern caused. Please contact help@hotelchocolat.com for any additional support.”<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Advice from Hotel Chocolat urged people who had purchased or collected the product from one of their stores to return it immediately.<\/p>\n The same goes for those who purchased the Choose Your Poison product online between September 1 and September 26, 2023.<\/p>\n It should be noted that refunds will only be issued for batches with the affected lot numbers listed above.<\/p>\n The lot number can be found on the packaging tag next to the best before\/ end date.<\/p>\n The chocolatier asked consumers to return any remaining product, packaging, or proof of purchase to their nearest Hotel Chocolat store.<\/p>\n Customers will be issued with a full refund or exchange for the inconvenience.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/14\/590x\/secondary\/FOOD-RECALL-CHOCOLATE-4983298.jpg?r=1695909619760\")
