Music icon Cher, who’s a mother of two, was behind the kidnapping of son Elijah Blue Allman from a hotel room while he was attempting to reconcile with his estranged wife on their wedding anniversary, the Oscar winner’s daughter-in-law claimed in court documents obtained by DailyMail.com.<\/p>\n
The incident took place in November 2022, Cher’s estranged daughter-in-law, KING musician Marieangela King \u2014 who goes by the stage name Queeny \u2014 wrote in a declaration filed with a Los Angeles court amid her ongoing divorce from Elijah, whose father is late rock star Gregg Allman.<\/p>\n
In the legal docs, Marieangela said she and Elijah spent 12 days “alone together \u2026 working on our marriage. Given the proper time,” she added, “I believe that we will reconcile.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
But that attempt was cut short when four men arrived to take\u00a0Elijah, who’s struggled with addiction, away to seek treatment.<\/p>\n
DailyMail.com further reported on Sept. 27 that Cher’s youngest son has since returned to rehab after passing out outside a Los Angeles hotel earlier in the month.<\/p>\n

He filed for divorce in 2021. They were attempting to reconcile in late 2022 when his mother, Cher, 77, stepped in.<\/p>\n According to December 2022 court filing made by Marieangela, “On November 30, 2022, the night of our wedding anniversary, four people came to our hotel room and removed [Elijah] from our room. \u2026 I was told by one of the four men who took him that they were hired by [Elijah’s] mother.”<\/p>\n In the legal declaration \u2014 which Marieangela’s attorney filed four days after Elijah was allegedly kidnapped \u2014\u00a0Queeny wrote, “I am currently unaware of my husband’s wellbeing or whereabouts. I am very concerned and worried about him.”\u00a0<\/p>\n She added that her estranged spouse was “currently in lockdown at a treatment facility that is undisclosed to me” and that she’d been told Elijah had “no access to his phone.”<\/p>\n She added, “I understand his family’s efforts to make sure he is well, and I want what is best for my husband.”<\/p>\n MORE: See rock stars when they were young<\/p>\n According to DailyMail.com, Elijah Blue Allman has continued to face addiction issues since the November 2022 incident detailed by his estranged wife, Marieangela King (pictured here with Elijah in 2013). <\/p>\n On Sept. 26, 2023, the outlet published photos of Cher’s youngest child, whose father is late Allman Brothers Band rocker Gregg Allman, looking disheveled at Los Angeles’s famed Chateau Marmont hotel, where he was believed to have been living for the previous six months.<\/p>\n DailyMail.com reported that at the time it published its story, Elijah was in a rehab facility in\u00a0Pasadena, California, following his collapse on the sidewalk outside the Chateau’s entrance.\u00a0<\/p>\n “At first he looked like he was dead, but he had in fact passed out,” a witness told the outlet, adding, “The staff picked him up and took him inside.”<\/p>\n MORE:\u00a0The most iconic rock couples through the years<\/p>\n Insiders told\u00a0DailyMail.com in September 2023 that worried hotel staff at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, where Elijah Blue Allman had been living for months, regularly reached out to his mother, Cher, “due to his apparent drugged-out appearance,” the outlet wrote in a Sept. 26 report.\u00a0<\/p>\n “Virtually every morning and afternoon Elijah could be seen in front of the hotel on the sidewalk either leaning against the wall or sitting on the sidewalk smoking.\u00a0He would come out with a full cigarette and by the time he had finished it, he would be passed out,” an insider told DailyMail.com, adding, “It always looked like it was dipped in something. He looked strung-out and messy, like he was a homeless person living on the streets.”<\/p>\n According to DailyMail.com, in early September 2023, Cher hired a caretaker who “would sit out in the entrance area of the hotel just waiting to see where and what Elijah was up to,” the insider said.\u00a0<\/p>\n According to DailyMail.com, Cher had planned an intervention for Elijah for Sept. 14 but before it could happen, hotel staff found him passed out outside the Chateau’s entrance. Two days later, the outlet reported, police escorted Elijah out of the hotel and he began another rehab stay.<\/p>\n In 2014, Elijah Blue Allman \u2014 the son of Cher and former husband Gregg Allman \u2014 spoke to “Entertainment Tonight” about his decades-long battle with drug addiction.<\/p>\n “I started with drugs around the same time that we all did, around 11. I mean it’s just what you did, it’s just what everybody did,” the former Deadsy rocker,\u00a0revealing he started with marijuana and ecstasy before moving on to harder substances.<\/p>\n “I [was] just looking to escape all the things in my past and, that’s when you turn to those kind of drugs, you know heroin and opiates,” Elijah explained. “[Heroin] kind of saved me \u2026 If I didn’t have that at that point, I don’t know what I would have done \u2026You may jump off a bridge.
