SARAH de Lagarde suffered horrific injuries in a train accident in September 2022.<\/p>\n
Since the accident, Sarah has raised money for a new intelligent arm that will help her regain her independence. <\/p>\n

Sarah de Lagarde is the global head of communications at Janus Henderson.<\/p>\n
Sarah is also a married mother of two daughters. <\/p>\n
On September 30, 2022, Sarah was at High Barnet station in North London when she had an accident. <\/p>\n
She had lost her footing, fallen onto the tracks, and was hit twice by trains.<\/p>\n

The mother-of-two had been travelling home from work on the evening of the accident when she fell asleep and missed her stop.<\/p>\n
She got off at High Barnet station and lost her footing causing her to fall in the gap between the train and the platform edge. <\/p>\n
Sarah was hit by the train as it left the station and then by a second train pulling in. <\/p>\n
When speaking about the ordeal she recalls lying on the tracks calling for help for 15 minutes before anyone heard her. <\/p>\n
<\/picture>WEIGH TO GO <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/picture>SEX ON THE BRAIN <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/picture>FAG END <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/picture>EYE SPY <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Emergency services were called and she was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital.<\/p>\n Her right arm and leg were crushed in the accident and both had to be amputated.<\/p>\n In an interview on Good Morning Britain, she revealed that as she lay on the tracks she thought: <\/p>\n "I shouldn't be here, this is not supposed to happen I need to go home to see my family.<\/p>\n "That thought about my family kept me going."<\/p>\n Sarah added: "I had to make them a promise when my eight-year-old was crying for me on Facetime.<\/p>\n "I had to promise that I will be home for Christmas."<\/p>\n When being interviewed by Good Morning Britain in 2022, she told the presenters: "I'm good. I'm feeling fine." <\/p>\n Sarah began fundraising for an advanced prosthetic arm that is able to act on brain signals. <\/p>\n In June 2023 it was reported that the mother of two will get her AI arm. <\/p>\n Sarah describes herself as "80 per cent human, 20 per cent robot" with the addition of her new bionic arm. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In an interview with Camden New Journal Sarah said: "My kids find it hilarious that I am going to have to take my arm off at night and charge it in a USB plug like they do with their phones."<\/p>\n Sarah is also looking forward to being able to cut a steak dinner again, tying her own hair, and a host of other "everyday things".<\/p>\nNew weight loss jab approved on NHS is BETTER than Wegovy, major study finds<\/h3>\n
