The discount retailer has announced a huge shake-up to its opening times ahead of the Christmas period.

Home Bargains shoppers will see their local store remain closed over the festive period for three days – two of which are consecutive.

While many people would rush to enjoy the Boxing Day sale in previous years, the company revealed that it would be keeping doors locked this year.

In a statement posted to Instagram on Friday, the retailer said: “CHRISTMAS ANNOUNCEMENT. All of our stores will be closed for Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.”

Its UK branches always remain closed on Christmas Day, as will be the case this December.
