Miriam Margolyes revealed that she was convinced she would end up in a wheelchair before long as she was struggling to stand on her feet.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Harry Potter star, 82, revealed that she was finding the action of walking a challenge due to spinal stenosis \u2013 a condition which occurs when the space inside the backbone is too small.<\/p>\n
Blaming her weight for her spinal issues, the veteran actress opened up about her concerns while chatting with Elizabeth Day, 44.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She explained to the host of the How to Fail podcast: \u2018The one thing I have not conquered and should have conquered is my weight. I am a blubber mass. I am fat. And to be fat and 82 is truly pathetic.\u2019<\/p>\n
She continued on and said: \u2018It\u2019s such a defeat. A cream bun, a chocolate, a helping of chopped liver is more important than your health and aesthetic presentation?\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018No, it isn\u2019t more important, it\u2019s just greed, lack of discipline, all the things I\u2019m embarrassed by in myself.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018It is a major failure and because of that I\u2019ve got spinal stenosis, I can\u2019t walk, I\u2019m going to be in a wheelchair before I\u2019m much older.\u2019
Miriam \u2013 who is currently waiting for surgery to have a heart stent fitted \u2013 lamented that she has \u2018limited [her] life\u2019 because she lacks discipline with her food intake.<\/p>\n
The actress outlined: \u2018I\u2019ve limited my life because of my longing for fudge or chopped liver, cheesecake.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018All these absurdities, I shouldn\u2019t have been so greedy, have been stronger. I f**k everything up by greed and I think it\u2019s shameful.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Back in June, Miriam was unveiled as the cover star of British Vogue magazine and she joked that it took 20 people to \u2018make [her] look like that\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She also confessed that she only agreed to pose nude with cream buns covering her breasts on the condition they wouldn\u2019t show her stomach.<\/p>\n
Miriam shared: \u2018When I got that email\u2026 I thought someone\u2019s having a laugh. That can\u2019t be right, Vogue?<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ve never looked at Vogue, it\u2019s the sort of magazine you get in high-class hairdressers, where I never go, and poncy hotels. Anyway, it happened. I think it\u2019s brilliant.\u2019<\/p>\n
