FOOD lovers are scrambling to Poundland after spotting a mouth-watering \u00a35 freezer treat scanning for just a quid at tills.<\/p>\n

Twin brothers Kevin and Kieran D\u2019Arcy, from Glasgow, spotted the Ben & Jerry's cookie dough chunks in the budget store on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Sharing the cheap find with their 82,000 followers on TikTok (@foodthirst_), the siblings said: "Attention, Poundland have Ben & Jerry\u2019s cookie dough for \u00a31.<\/p>\n

"Not a bad wee deal, right?"<\/p>\n

Another food lover immediately responded: \u201cI want\u201d, accompanied by the heart eye emoji.<\/p>\n

In other supermarkets, the cookie dough chunks would set you back \u00a34.90, with special offers in Asda and Sainsbury's still costing \u00a33.50 and \u00a33 respectively.<\/p>\n

So at worst, you're still saving \u00a32. <\/p>\n

Describing the frozen treat, Ben & Jerry's bosses say: "[Our] chocolate chip cookie dough chunks contain the dough, the whole dough, and nothing but the dough. <\/p>\n

"No more spoon-digging for just one more doughy bite \u2014 now you can munch on dough chunk after dough chunk to your heart\u2019s content. <\/p>\n

"Just don't forget to store frozen, and you can snack straight from the bag."<\/p>\n

And they joked: "No more wrist cramps from digging cookie dough chunks out of your tub-full, no more hoping for just one more doughy chunk. <\/p>\n

"The future is now, cookie dough lovers. Gobble these up on their own, or sprinkle them over your bowl of ice cream to add even more doughy euphoria."<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Despite high street stores struggling across the country, Poundland continues to offer its customers top bargains.<\/p>\n

And it could be set to open an exciting new megastore in a major shopping centre..<\/p>\n

Plans have been approved to extend the Poundland store at Newkirkgate in Leith, Edinburgh,<\/p>\n

Poundland bosses confirmed the megastore could open in early 2024 with a number of new jobs set to be created.<\/p>\n

It's hoped bargain hunters will be able to take advantage of a full range of\u00a0food, drink, homeware, pet goods, entertainment and stationery at the expanded store.<\/p>\n
