A home up for sale in Pontiac, Michigan, has just been named as the \u2018world\u2019s cheapest home\u2019 \u2013 with an asking price of just $1 (or around 78p).<\/p>\n
While it\u2019s clear new owners will have a project on their hands, with weeds and overgrown shrubbery surrounding the house, it could be the dream doer-upper home for many.<\/p>\n
The two-bed, 742 square-foot property features one bathroom but has missing walls and a general derelict aesthetic.<\/p>\n

The two-bed home was previously sold in February of last year for $4,092 (\u00a33,212), according to its price history. <\/p>\n
For those intrigued, the listing also points to some unusual features including the avant-garde \u2018floor hole\u2019 art installation conveniently located next to the furnace \u2013 as well as the overgrown outdoor shrubbery, which is home to \u2018a selection of local critters.\u2019<\/p>\n
However, those willing to give the property a little TLC will reap the rewards.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s worth pointing out that while the home is on the market for less than a pound, it won\u2019t stop people bidding more on it. <\/p>\n
In fact, Chris says he has received nearly 200 offers for the home so far, with the highest bidder offering more than $30,000 (around \u00a323,000).<\/p>\n
