Burgers are easy to make with just a handful of ingredients and can be flavoured with almost anything.

While most basic recipes call for ground beef as the base, the possibilities are endless when it comes to spices and seasonings.

Air frying is one way to quickly cook raw meat but traditional pan-frying is well-suited to this family formula.

Sharing the recipe on her blog “All She Cooks”, author and recipe developer Nicole claimed that it is “simple and easy”.

She said: “These delicious Homemade Burgers are loaded with pepper, garlic, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and more. You can cook these juicy burgers on the grill or in a skillet.”

More info

Place the ground beef into a large mixing bowl followed by the salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.

Combine the ground beef with the seasoning using the palms of your hands until it is well mixed. Divide the meaty mixture into eight equal portions and shape each one to form a circular patty.

Nicole said: “There are a few things you’ll need to do – and not do. Don’t smash your burgers with a spatula as you cook them. That releases the juices and can dry out your burgers more quickly.”

She continued: “Whether you use a burger press to shape your patties or you simply use your hands, aim for similarly sized patties. This will help all your patties to cook up in the same amount of time, avoiding problems like too dry or too raw burgers.

“Also, try to flip your burger patties only once. Handling the burgers too much can leave them dry and unappetizing.”

Heat a skillet over medium heat on the stove and fry the burgers for eight to 10 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

Nicoles recommended serving each one in a toasted bun with cheese, sliced lettuce, tomatoes, condiments and a side of fresh slaw.

Ingredients
