Rio Ferdinand and former Spice Girls Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton lead a host of celebrities sending words of encouragement to the Lionesses ahead of their final match on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The English side \u2013 led by coach Sarina Wiegman \u2013 will take on Spain in the final stage of the Women\u2019s World Cup in Sydney, Australia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Leading the influx of star-studded support was former England player and ex-footballer Rio who sent the ladies good luck having worn the country\u2019s jersey 81 times himself.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 44-year-old retired sportsman participated in a heartwarming video posted to the Lionesses\u2019 Instagram page and filmed himself saying: \u2018This is a moment man, this is history in the making.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018You girls are close. I\u2019ve had every faith in you, man. So please, make me cry. Make me cry. Let\u2019s go.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Following suit, former singers and Spice Girls Geri and Emma separately offered their words of support in the reel and beamed as they shared their admiration for the team.<\/p>\n

Geri exclaimed: \u2018Lionesses, we are so proud of you. Sarina, you\u2019re inspirational. Mary\u2026 Girls you\u2019ve got this. Best of luck. Mwah!\u2019<\/p>\n
Emma smiled as she said: \u2018Hi guys, it\u2019s Emma Bunton here. We are so proud of you. I can\u2019t imagine how your family are feeling. Sending you so much love. All the luck in the world and I\u2019ll be watching.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, singer Paloma Faith gushed over the girls, sharing: Hi it\u2019s me Paloma Faith wishing you, the Lionesses, all the luck in the world tomorrow for the World cup Final.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019m right behind you. I feel so inspired and empowered by everything you\u2019re doing. So on behalf of all the women of Britain, thank you and go and get that cup because you deserve it, we all deserve it, mwah.\u2019<\/p>\n

Jess Glynne stood poolside wearing a red jersey as she offered the women some words of inspiration: \u2018Hey girls I just want to wish you a massive good luck for Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018You guys have been so amazing in the tournament so far and I\u2019m so gassed you\u2019re in the final \u2013 go get it,\u2019 before screaming \u2018England!\u2019 as she jumped into the water.\u00a0<\/p>\n
England manager Gareth Southgate also announced he was supporting the team as he said: \u2018Hi to you all out there in Australia. You\u2019re doing a brilliant job so that\u2019s the first thing and there is, of course, no advice because you\u2019ve done more than us already.<\/p>\n
\u2018You know what is needed to win so all that remains is to wish you the very best for the final and we hope you can bring that trophy back. Good luck everybody.\u2019<\/p>\n
