A GLASS expert has revealed how to get your windows sparkling clean in no time at all.<\/p>\n
They revealed that an unlikely – and very affordable – kitchen ingredient can be enlisted to get the surface streak-free in seconds.<\/p>\n

John Cutts, glass expert at\u00a0MeandMyGlass.co.uk,\u00a0said: \u201cIt can be frustrating spending hours cleaning around the home only for streaks and fingerprints to remain on surfaces."<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cIt\u2019s important to understand that different types of glass objects need to be cleaned differently to get a spotless finish."<\/p>\n
For the inside of windows, Cutts said they could be cleaned using none other than lemon juice.<\/p>\n
He advised: "Mixing freshly squeezed lemons into water makes a scented cleaning solution to remove any marks off the windows. <\/p>\n

You might be wondering how a humble lemon can help get rid of dirt – but the fruit has a number of handy properties for cleaning.<\/p>\n
It is high in citric acid and packed with antibacterial properties, helping it easily cut through grease and grime.<\/p>\n

While Cutts recommends using a regular microfibre cloth to remove dust first, you should turn to a special one for glass when wiping on the solution. <\/p>\n
For example, this Minky M Cloth Glass & Window cloth, which costs \u00a32.75 from Sainsbury's, is made from high-density, tightly woven microfibre which can get surfaces sparkling.<\/p>\n
As for the lemon juice, you can save on the elbow grease and purchase a bottle for \u00a31.25 for 500ml from Tesco or 80p for 250ml from Sainsbury's.<\/p>\n

However, if you're trying to keep costs down, then you can always get your lemon juice the traditional way by squeezing the fruit yourself.<\/p>\n
One lemon costs 30p from Tesco and it's the same price at Sainsbury's.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
