Madonna has officially restarted rehearsals on Monday for her\u00a0highly anticipated Celebration Tour after being hospitalised in June.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The pop icon, 64, has taken over the Nassau Coliseum in New York City as she books it out for two months to prepare for the global tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The hitmaker has also reportedly splashed out on a UK venue to rehearse at ahead of her first night at London’s O2 Arena on October 14.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A source told The Sun: ‘She is very much still in recovery but Madonna has been chomping at the bit to get back to rehearsals.<\/span><\/p>\n ‘Not only has she hired the Coliseum in New York but she’s also hired out a second venue in London for the final week of dress rehearsals.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Back to work! Madonna has officially restarted rehearsals on Monday for her highly anticipated Celebration Tour after being hospitalised in June (pictured in 2002)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Countdown is on: The pop icon, 64, has taken over the Nassau Coliseum in New York City as she books it out for two months to prepare for the global tour (pictured 2022)<\/p>\n ‘Normally she would like to have the final week in the same venue she kicks off in but due to Blink 182’s comeback gigs at the O2 her team won’t be able to get access until the day before.’<\/p>\n Due to the tight schedule, Madonna will only have less than 48 hours until show time after gaining access to the venue.\u00a0<\/p>\n It comes after Madonna stated she ‘realised how lucky she is to be alive’ after a serious health scare in June.\u00a0<\/p>\n She was given an injection of the drug Narcan – commonly used to reverse suspected drug overdoses – to combat acute septic shock before she was rushed on to hospital, reported Radar Online.<\/p>\n Sepsis is a life-threatening condition caused when the body releases chemicals to fight an infection. These chemicals damage the body’s own tissues and organs and can lead to shock, organ failure and death.<\/p>\n The insider said the singer ‘has an incredible support system around her and appreciates all the love she’s received’ since she was taken to a hospital June 24.<\/p>\n She gushed, ‘I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference. So did the love and support from my friends.’<\/p>\n Included in the post was a photo of the Like A Virgin hitmaker holding a framed photo.<\/p>\n She explained: ‘If you zoom into this Picture I am holding You will see A Polaroid taken by Andy Warhol of Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson\u2019s face painted on it. Happy you are safe and have your beautiful children\u2019s love and support. yes you have much more work to do here.’<\/p>\n The living legend is just days away from her upcoming August 16 birthday.<\/p>\n She was rushed to the ICU and intubated after being found slumped on the floor of her New York City apartment on June 24.<\/p>\n On July 10, she appeared on social media to break her silence about the ordeal.<\/p>\n ‘Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,’ she shared.<\/p>\n The mother-of-six added in the statement, ‘My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children.’<\/p>\n The lifelong performer said that her ‘second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour.’<\/p>\n
