A woman called out trolls who labelled her "crazy" for her recent tattoo.

Julie Turner decided to get an inking dedicated to Malcolm Michaels Quality Butchers in Leeds.

The 52-year-old is a loyal customer of the butchers which she visits "every day" at Crossgates Shopping Centre.

She buys her fresh pork pies, sandwich fillings and cheeses, reports LeedsLive.

Now the mum-of-two decided to get inked on August 6 while she was on holiday in Scarborough.

The tattoo reads: "Malcolm Michaels Butchers No1," on her upper left leg.

While she was overjoyed to dedicate the inking to the "friendly butchers", some people have been nasty about it.

But despite all, her inking to the butchers has won her a £50 goody bag.

Julie revealed: "Some people said 'You're crazy! You're mad!' and all that, stuff like that.

"I've just told them it's my body and I can have whatever tattoo on me that I like."

The mum claimed the idea for the tattoo came about after she was joking around with the lads at the shop.

She already has a number of tattoos across her body, including one which says "Love me for who I am" on her left arm.

Julie then thought about getting a Malcolm Michaels tattoo to compliment the ones she already had.

'I was too hot to date – now I've found love with only bloke who didn't hit on me'

One of them jokingly dared her to do it, not thinking much of it at the time.

Julie continued: "They're such a friendly bunch. They have laughs and jokes. It's such a fun friendly butchers."

Malcolm Michaels Quality Butchers opened in the East Leeds shopping centre in May last year.

It became Leeds' most popular butchers with more than 31,000 followers on Facebook and 5,000 fans on Instagram.

Talking about the inking, co-owner Malcolm said: "I learned about it through our group text with the shop.

"I must admit, I was shocked to say the least.

"Many of our friends got Leeds United tattoos and tattoos of their heroes, and all sorts of things big in their lives.

"It's an honour, a tribute but it's a big call."

After Julie got the tattoo, Malcolm launched a competition on his Facebook page.

The butchers want to see if anyone will also show their dedication for a £50 goody bag of their products.

Since no one could match Julie's commitment, she ended up taking the prize.

The co-owner said: "If anyone else who is considering getting a Malcolm Michaels tattoo, they're more than welcome to get the logo, the name or any tributes – but please don't get a portrait of me!

"It won't look good. You don't want a bald-headed bearded guy on your arm, keep it simple."
