When it comes to booking a holiday, there's a wealth of advice available out there on how to find the top holiday deals.
It can feel difficult to sift through and find the advice that really helps – which is why when someone who's worked in the travel industry shares their tips, we pay attention.
To give holidaymakers a helping hand, international travel money specialists Equals teamed up with a panel of travel insiders to get their booking tips and secrets – and that included finding out the day you could bag some of the best deals.
A travel advisor, who formerly worked for Thomas Cook, revealed that when it comes to booking a package holiday, you might want to look out for deals on Mondays.

They explained: "Booking a holiday on a Monday can sometimes help you get a better deal, as prices are sometimes dropped to try and entice customers who’ve had quotes at the weekend but not completed a booking."
However, this is for package deals only – they advise that if you're after flights only then you may want to hold off for an extra day or two.
They added: "When it comes to flights, Tuesday or Wednesday is usually the cheapest day for scheduled flights and as a general rule, you’ll usually get a better price on mid-week options as prices are hiked for weekends."
