For 2023, travel is at the top of our agenda – and these are the five countries we’ve got our eye on.
I don’t know about you, but travelling is definitely something I want to do more of in 2023.
Whether it’s booking last-minute staycations or one big holiday to a far-flung destination, creating great memories with loved ones while exploring a different part of the world is one of life’s many pleasures – and here at Stylist, we’re dreaming big.
From exploring Eastern Europe’s most bustling cities or heading to a sandy beach far, far away,we’ve listed the five destinations we want to visit in the new year.
Passports at the ready…
Latvia
“I’m going to Latvia in 2023 to run the Riga marathon. I don’t know much about Latvia but I’m keen to explore more of Eastern Europe. I’ve only done Russia and Poland, so it’ll be interesting to see how Latvia compares. As for Riga, what better way to see every part of a capital city than to run 26.2 miles of it?”

South Korea
“I’ve wanted to go to South Korea for years, predominantly for the food and the skincare shopping, but also to get a tattoo from a studio there that does these amazing watercolour cat portraits. My brother lives in Hong Kong so I’m working out if I can pile two trips together.”

Poland
“My 2023 travel goal is to explore more of Europe, and Poland is top of my list. Whether a wintery city break to Krakow or a mid-spring jaunt to the lesser-known sandy beaches of Sopot, I hope to be eating pierogi and taking in the colourful sights of cities like Warsaw and Gdańsk very soon.”

Saint Lucia
“Often described as one of the most beautiful Caribbean islands, Saint Lucia is on my travel wishlist for many reasons. 1. I’m long overdue a trip to the Caribbean and the opportunity to lounge around on a sandy beach with a rum punch in hand. 2. Despite having family in Saint Lucia, I’ve yet to visit and would love to explore the beauty of the island along with where my family resides.”

Estonia
“I want to explore more of Europe in 2023 and Tallinn, Estonia, is at the top of my list, thanks to the colourful buildings and incredible architecture. You can also catch a boat to Helsinki from Tallinn, so I’ll be able to tick off two cities in one trip!”
