Organizing is key — so are cleaning, storage, gardening and more. In this series, you’ll learn various tips and tricks to make gardening, grilling and even sewing easier. No matter the problem, there’s a Home Hack for that!
For a sweet treat any time of the year, caramel apples are one of the easiest desserts to make at home. And one of the best parts of this delicious treat is decorating them.
In the latest Home Hacks episode, you’ll learn a few easy steps to making caramel-covered apples at home.
To get started, be sure to begin by rinsing and drying the apples you’ll be using. Next, replace the stems with these candy apple skewers.
To make the caramel sauce, you’ll melt caramel bits. Mix one full bag of the bits and 2 tablespoons of water in a large glass bowl. Then, microwave for two minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
After the caramel is fully melted, dip each apple into the sauce to coat it fully. And if you want to add toppings like sprinkles, chocolate dip or chopped walnuts, have each one in a separate bowl big enough to dip the apples in.
Once you’ve added your favorite toppings, refrigerate until set.
While we’ve outlined the how-to for you, but be sure to watch the full video above for even more detailed step-by-step instructions.
