Stacey Solomon shares genius parenting hack to beat the heatwave by freezing baby wipes

Stacey Solomon has shared a pretty genius way to beat the heat when you're out for the day with your children.

The Loose Women star, 30, was preparing to take her one year old son Rex, who she shares with partner Joe Swash, out shopping, when she revealed the clever parenting hack.

Alongside freezing half a bottle of water she'd also popped a packet of baby wipes to use as an instant refresh to keep her cool on the hottest day of the year.

Packing a backpack with Rex's name on it, Stacey wrote a list of items she was including for her day trip to the shopping centre.

After getting Rex dressed, she picked up the frozen water, frozen Baby Dove Biodegradable Wipes, which are currently on offer for £1.50 at Superdrug, and frozen sweet potato for her son's lunch.

She also added some nappies, a spare outfit for Rex, and explained her genius hack: "The frozen wipes are like a cool pack that I can use to wipe myself down with too."

Stacey recently revealed that she had partnered with Baby Dove to share easy changes you can make to be a more eco-friendly parent from using biodegradable wipes or upcycling furniture.

Sharing more about the reasons she chose to partner with Baby Dove, Stacey said: "As a parent, I am so aware of every choice I make impacting the future world my children will live in when they grow up.

"With three children, it’s a constant cycle of wiping bums, loads of washing and making snacks, so it's important for us to be as conscious as we possibly can in the choices that we make.

"I want to lead by example for my kids, making small changes like using refillable bottles and finding things around the house that I can upcycle instead of throwing away can make a big difference.

She continued: "My youngest pickle is one and any parent knows how easy it can be to rely on single use products, even when we know we shouldn’t.

"It was one less thing to think about when I discovered Baby Dove had created Biodegradable Wipes which biodegrade in just six weeks, the same as an orange peel. The packaging is also fully recyclable which isn’t always the case for biodegradable wipes. Importantly, they’re affordable and hassle-free without compromising on quality and gentleness on baby skin."
