Stacey Solomon has the perfect heat-free, zero damage hair curling hack

Despite being just weeks away from her due date now, Stacey Solomon is still managing to look glowy and fresh, leading us to wonder what her beauty secrets are. The mum-of-four (and soon to be five) has just answered some of our questions in a new “January sort out” Instagram series.

Day 15 was all about haircare, with Stacey, 33, sharing a perfectly arranged snap of her bathroom with her hair favourites sitting on the glass shelf. It’s hard to see past the TV presenter’s incredible mother of pearl-effect bathroom tiling, but if you can, you’ll spot Rehab’s Silk Heatless Curler,£60 here for the kit. This bundle includes the clips, silk scrunchies, curling rod and Dose 1.0 Hair Oil that are all visible in Stacey’s snap.

If you’re wondering how these items relate to haircare, this type of hair system is a method of curling hair (usually overnight) without the need for any heat styling. Essentially, damp hair gets wrapped around the silk rod and fastened with scrunchies, and the next morning the hair can be unwrapped to bouncy, blow dry-like results.

Our OK! deputy beauty editor Zoe gave the kit a try for herself and loved the results. Here’s what she thought:

“This is like the fancy version of the dressing gown hack, and, I must admit, feels a lot more ‘official’. The principle is the same: curl your hair, starting from front to back, around the silk headband, securing it at the top with the provided claw clip.

“The kit also comes with two silk scrunchies to tie off each end of the headband. It takes some getting used to at night, but the results the next day are so worth it – bouncy and long lasting. Just make sure you start with damp hair for longevity.”

Heatless hair curling has been a huge trend on TikTok since the first lockdown back in 2020, when everyone was looking for methods of styling their hair without any professional help. The TikTok tag #heatlesscurls now has 3.6 billion views, proving Stacey isn’t the only fan of a zero-damage blow-dry.

With hair health and scalp health quickly becoming some of the buzziest beauty trends of the year so far, we predict heat-free styling methods are only set to rise in popularity.
