Tristan Thompson knows how to get even with his teammates. The professional athlete, who is a center for the Cleveland Cavaliers, had a little fun with one of his coworkers earlier this week.
Apparently, there’s a rule regarding the Ohio-based basketball team, which unofficially states that all rookies are expected to bring doughnuts to Thompson, 27, or suffer the consequences. According to TMZ, Cav newbie Collin Sexton learned exactly what those consequences are when he brought his teammate one dozen doughnuts instead of the required two dozen.
In retaliation for the slight, Thompson filled the 19-year-old’s $50,000 Lexus sedan with popcorn, and lots of it. In fact, per subsequent posts on Thompson’s social media, a sign taped to the car stated it contained exactly 12 bags of the snack food. That figure was meant to “represent the number of doughnuts you have failed to provide on game days.”
Another sign, which read, “We require 2 dozen doughnuts on game days, not a dozen,” was blunt in stating Sexton’s unfortunate error.
In sharing the results of his messy prank, Thompson reportedly said of Sexton in a video posted to social media, “That boy going to find out today. Bring enough doughnuts, or this is what happens.”
The Canadian basketball player added, “Respect will be had! Duties will be done!”
However, while Thompson may be a leader on the court, at home it appears his 8-month-old daughter, True, whom he shares with Khloé Kardashian, has stolen his heart. When Kardashian posted a new photo of her little one next to a Christmas tree on Wednesday, December 19, Thompson commented on the snap and called the tiny tot his “princess.”
